Alpharetta
Alpharetta grew quickly in the late 1980s through the 2000s, and roughly 76 percent of its homes were built in that window, according to Census survey data. Neighborhoods off Haynes Bridge Road, Windward Parkway, Old Milton Parkway and the Highway 9 corridor share many traditional two-story floor plans. Kitchens, primary bathrooms, basements and flooring are the most common updates.
Milton
Milton has larger lots and many custom and semi-custom homes. Projects here often include whole-home updates, kitchen expansions, outdoor living spaces and additions that must match existing brick, stone or siding.
Roswell
Roswell includes some of the oldest neighborhoods in our area along with newer subdivisions. Older homes may need electrical and plumbing updates during a remodel, and some properties near the historic district have additional design review requirements.
Johns Creek
Johns Creek homes are largely from the 1990s and 2000s. Open-concept kitchen updates, flooring replacement across the main level and primary suite renovations are common.
Peachtree Corners and Sandy Springs
These communities mix older ranch homes with newer construction. Kitchens, bathrooms and whole-home updates are typical, and each city reviews its own building permits.
